December & January of 2005-2006 we spent our first year anniversary, Christmas, and New Years in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.
We started off our trip in Uruguay. The first day we went around and toured the city, Montevideo. It was a fun city and we got to see a whole new country in South America. We then went to the famous beaches of Punta del Este and relaxed.
We then headed off to Argentina. We began in Buenos Aires and toured the city and met up with our Argentine family friends. We then went down south to the quaint city of Bariloche and enjoyed this lake side resort area.
Finally, we were able to make it down to my dad’s ranch in Patagonia, Argentina. THIS WAS A BLAST! We did all the usual fly-fishing, hiking, horse back riding, four-wheeling, exploring, and eating. We love Argentina!
After this, we all made our way over to my dad’s beach side resort in Region X, Chile. This is an ecotourism spot, so we were able to go to hot springs, rivers, the ocean, Andes Mountains, fjords, islands, and strawberry prairies. Our favorite was the marine site when we could see wild dolphins, penguins, sea lions, and sea birds.
It was an amazing way to spend the holidays!
